What is a fullstack developer?

Fullstack developer

A full stack developer merges front-end and back-end development skills to create websites and web applications. They handle both the visual aspects users see and the server-side operations. Their work involves managing operating systems, databases, and servers, along with using key tools for their environment.

What is a fullstack developer?

Full stack developers are highly valued by many companies, particularly smaller ones, due to their ability to independently develop websites and applications end-to-end. They collaborate with DevOps, cybersecurity experts, and graphic designers. These developers, proficient in front-end and back-end skills, grasp the project's elements' significance and goals better than others, integrating them seamlessly.

Key skills of a fullstack developer:

  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Knowledge of graphic design tools like Photoshop or Illustrator
  • Familiarity with Vue, Angular, or React frameworks
  • Experience with Node.js, Gulp, and Webpack
  • Capable in back-end languages such as PHP, Java, or Ruby
  • Understanding of SQL-based databases, REST API design, and application testing
  • Proficiency in UI and UX principles and GIT version control

A full stack developer should continuously expand their knowledge and have an interest in new technologies. Their primary responsibilities include designing website and application structures, collaborating with project teams to devise optimal solutions, writing clear, high-standard code, testing and documenting code, and addressing issues while updating software.
